After graduating from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, Faizan spent four years working in Investment Banking at Barclays in the Financial Institutions Group. During this time, he worked on several IPOs, M&A transactions, and private placements with clients in the Blockchain industry including Coinbase, Binance, Silvergate, and Kraken. After transitioning as an Associate, Faizan led over $250M of fundraising rounds at the fast-growth NYC-based startup RapidSOS, seeing the company grow from 40 employees to over 300 in under two years. He has most recently been involved in the nearly $1B sale & integration efforts of a large SaaS business from LA-based private equity company K1 to large public conglomerate The Nemetschek Group. 

Faizan recommends a data-driven approach to recruiting, with strategies that earned 1st place honors at the Strakosch Venture Competition. He leads syllabus design and the development of all online training modules and learning objectives at The Banking Club, distilling the key information needed for success in networking, interviews, and internships for each Career Track, and updating learning materials based on the rapidly evolving landscape for undergraduate recruiting.

Han grew up in Seoul, South Korea, and came to the U.S. to get his B.S. in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He worked in Investment Banking at Barclays after his graduation, where he would meet Faizan and join The Banking Club team. Han specialized in M&A Advisory in the Financial Institutions Group, working on over $80M of combined M&A deals across dozens of clients. These client relationships would prove to be invaluable, as he was recruited out of his role at Barclays to serve as the Director of Finance at one of the clients that he had advised on capital raises for. Over the next several years, Han worked on transformational deals for startups with investors he had built relationships with during his time in Investment Banking, including Y-Combinator, AddVenture, Social Capital, Softbank, and Kakao Ventures. He is the founder of Fimpact, a seed-funded application that helps streamline financial operations for startups and small businesses.
Han leads partnerships in his role at The Banking Club, creating mutually beneficial relationships with students and corporations seeking to attract top talent in High Finance. Over the past several years, Han has enabled corporate sponsorship of live in-person networking events, case competitions, and direct-placements into internships with a wide range of companies in financial services for our students.

Akash brings experience in a diverse range of sectors within high finance to his role at The Banking Club. After graduating from Boston College, he started his career at Citi in investment banking, working on deals for major credit card organizations such as Mastercard and Visa during his analyst years. Leveraging his network & top analyst ranking, Akash transitioned to Bank of America directly as a Vice President, skipping the Associate promotion altogether and becoming the youngest member in BAML’s leadership development program. Since then, Akash made another major career pivot into one of the fastest growing neobanks in the country, Novo, leveraging years of experience in payments from an advisor perspective to lead Product Management in the transformational bank.

Akash attributes much of his career success to his ability to create & leverage a powerful network in finance, and helps our students build their own powerful networks with Community Development at The Banking Club. This includes building connections between students while they are still recruiting, but especially after they’ve graduated from the program & are exploring exit opportunities. As the number of TBO graduates on Wall Street increases each year, Akash builds incentive structures & hosts events to allow current and past students to tap into the power of our alumni base and further advance their careers.

Chris joined The Banking Club team during his time at Boston College, helping to design a networking algorithm that would help the team place 1st in the prestigious Strakosch Venture Competition. A strong believer in the power of Big Data, Chris specializes in automation technologies & machine learning to drive improved operational efficiency for world-class organizations. He has served as a Data Analyst and Data Architect at some of the largest & most innovative companies in the world, including Microsoft and Amazon. Many of the algorithms that optimize driver-rider routing for the shortest drive times in Lyft were also developed by Chris.

Chris serves as the Head of Product here at The Banking Club, helping to build similar automation technologies for our students, to streamline both networking & job applications during the hectic & competitive recruiting process. His work has enabled students of our programs to save over 15 hours of work each week during mundane segments of the recruiting process, so that students can spend more time with coaches & learning the material they need for interviews & internships.
